MISSION STATEMENT

The members of the Association of Wedding professionals strive to promote the highest standard of service, professional conduct and business etiquette in the wedding industry. We emphasize education and the value of networking to our members. We are committed to excellence within ourselves in order to provide the bride and groom nothing less than quality service and satisfaction.

ABOUT AWP

AWP is dedicated to helping our members grow through educational programs, networking opportunities and special event showcases.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month, excluding December.

If you are in the field of wedding planning and or production and interested in attending one of our meetings or if you would like to learn more about AWP, please call one of our Officers.

CODE OF ETHICS

AWP members shall signify their intention and willingness to abide by the Code of Ethics issued upon membership acceptance.

A member, after acceptance for membership in AWP do hereby subscribe without reservation to this Code of Ethics and do solemnly agree to:

	Accurately represent his or her qualifications and experience
	Agree not to engage in unfair, unethical or misleading practices
	Be honest and factual with clients
	Commit to contribute and share industry information with fellow members
	Deal with employees in a fair and unbiased manner
	Establish reasonable and proper fees for services rendered
	Have a personal sense of obligation to each individual client
	Honor all agreements made with clients and suppliers
	Maintain the highest standards of professional, ethical and personal conduct
	Meet all insurance and licensing required, when applicable
	Operate a business and conduct oneself in a manner that is a credit to the Association and to the community
	Promote good will between fellow members
	Promote good will between the client and the wedding industry
	Promote and encourage a high level of ethics and principles
	Provide all agreed to services in a timely and cost efficient manner
	Represent each client fairly and honestly
	Represent and promote the Association in a positive and professional manner
	Support the AWP alcohol policy
	Strive for excellence in all aspects of the wedding industry
	Treat other wedding professionals with respect
	Use honest and factual advertising
	Use written contracts which clearly state all terms and conditions
